On the 24th of February Russia invaded Ukraine. As a result of millions of people were displaced internally but majority of them seeked refugee in the bordering countries such as Romania, Moldavia, Poland, Slovakia or Czech Republic.
Part of the refugee wave that moved further west in their attempt to seek for a shelter were youngsters and children from organizations such as SOS Childrens Villages Ukraine that were not able to provide the secured and stable environment to their beneficiaries in their home country.
Speechless Reconciliation team decided to take active approach in the context of the situation and applied together with their partners in the Rotary Club Ashville for the grant that would enable us to organize specific edition for those youngsters. Therefore, the aim of the grant is to organize a developmental camp for youngsters that were displaced due to the war in Ukraine with the topic of „New beggining for a better future.“

The aim of this edition is to offer the opportunity to join our alumni group to 18 youngsters in the age of 16-22. Those participants will participate in activities such as business planning and pitching, skills, talents identification, story telling, creativity and future planning. The alumni of this particular edition will become part of our bigger network of alumnis and will be able to take the advantage of everything that our program offers.
About the camp
The main goal of the program is to help youngsters from homes for children without proper parental care to develop their potential by creating action plans, find their talents and identify their skills with the help of a professional trainers and mentors during the youth exchange based on the selection process that takes place before the youth exchange.
This is then combined with the activities that takes place during the youth exchange. This is followed based on the outcomes of the youth exchange with offerings for youngsters with the opportunities for their personal and professional development through usage of the online platform where our 3rd party partners will be offering possible opportunities, matching the individual needs of the youngsters. |
