The beautiful landscapes of Ranch Ramarin in Croatia recently witnessed transformative moments as 18 remarkable young individuals from 5 different countries completed their journey at the Speechless Reconciliation European Developmental Camp (May 4-11, 2025). This week-long intensive program not only marked another successful chapter in our mission but also set new benchmarks in youth development and leadership cultivation.
Throughout the program, participants immersed themselves in a carefully curated curriculum that merged personal growth with professional development. From powerful life story presentations to innovative sustainable project workshops, each activity was designed to unlock the participants' potential and prepare them for future challenges.
A highlight of the developmental camp was the Pitching Contest, where participants demonstrated their newly acquired skills and presented their sustainable project and future plansideas to a panel of mentors and guests. The event, which took place in a hybrid form on May 10th, showcased the remarkable progress made by these young leaders in just one week.
"What sets this program apart is its holistic approach to youth development," shares Matej Keka, founder of Speechless Reconciliation. "We don't just focus on skill-building; we create an environment where personal transformation becomes inevitable."
The impact of the camp extends far beyond its conclusion. Based on our track record, approximately 60% of participants will either continue their education or embark on other journeys. The program's success is evident in our alumni network, where former participants have taken on roles as trainers, social media managers or business founders.
Looking ahead, these 18 young leaders will join our extensive alumni network, accessing continued support through:
·      Long-term mentoring programs
·      Online courses and themed sessions
·      Job placement opportunities
·      Regular alumni reunions and networking events

The Croatian Developmental Camp represents more than just a week of activities; it's a gateway to a future where disadvantaged youth become community leaders. As these participants return to their communities, they carry with them not just new skills and knowledge, but a renewed sense of purpose and the tools to create positive change.
Through our partnership with Rotary Clubs and many other partners, we continue to build bridges between talented youth and opportunities for growth. The success of this camp reinforces our commitment to expanding our impact across Europe and creating more opportunities for the youth we serve.

For those interested in supporting our mission or learning more about our upcoming events, including our next camp in the Czech Republic (August 16-24, 2025), please reach out to us at [email protected].

Martina Trajkovska: A journey of artistic discovery, growth and 1st ever SR Venture

Martina Trajkovska, an alumni of the Speechless Reconciliation program from 2022, has embarked on an inspiring journey of artistic and personal growth. Her story is a testament to the transformative power of mentorship, community support, and unwavering dedication to one's passion. This is her story.

In August 2022, Martina's participation in the Speechless Reconciliation developmental camp was sponsored by the Rotary Club Vilvoorde. It was during this camp that her exceptional artistic talent was discovered, setting the stage for her future endeavors in the Speechless Reconciliation program.

From September 2022 to the present, Martina has been under the intense and high-frequency mentorship of Tim Belon. This mentorship has focused on several key areas: guiding her through important life decisions, encouraging her to re-enroll in art academy after she had previously dropped out, and assisting her in professionalizing and commercializing her painting activities with a focus on the European market.

June 2024 marked a significant milestone for Martina as she made her first international sales in Belgium through Tim Belon's network, utilizing the first version of her branding. During her trip to Belgium, Martina was hosted by member of the SR team, Regine Bovens and her husband Frank. Regine introduced her to several art exhibitions, while Tim provided insights into the local culture and art scene.

In October and November 2024, the SR Team, including Andrea Obach, Philip Van Luchene and Tim, collaborated closely with Martina to upgrade her branding and set up her website. This effort culminated in December 2024, when Martina, with the help of Matej Keka, received an invitation from Rotary Club Ljubljana International to participate in the Art Expo in Triëste organized by Miha Murn, marking another significant milestone in her artistic career.

Martina Trajkovska's journey from a talented artist in North Macedonia to an international painter is a remarkable example of what can be achieved with the right support and mentorship. Her story continues to inspire and demonstrate the impact of the Speechless Reconciliation program in nurturing and empowering young talents from homes for children without proper parental care.

The mARTina project has become the first SR Venture, aligning with our "pay it forward" strategy. This initiative not only supports Martina's artistic career but also sets a precedent for future ventures, ensuring that the benefits of the program extend to others in meaningful and impactful ways.

In a significant development for the Speechless Reconciliation (SR) program, a promising partnership has been forged with the Rotary Club Ljubljana International. This collaboration, which has been evolving since August 2023, has now taken a more structured form, promising to bring about substantial benefits for the youngsters involved in the SR program.

The partnership was initiated within the the Rotary Club Prague International, and driven forward by Matej Keka from the Speechless Reconciliation program and by Andrej Božič, Peter Ilgo, Bojana Čuk, and other dedicated Rotarians from Slovenia. The first outcome of this collaboration was the organization of the inaugural reunion for our alumni in the scenic Pohorje in northern Slovenia, a joint effort with the Rotary Club Ljubljana International and Rotary District 1912 Slovenia & North Macedonia.

The partnership has since grown stronger, with the Rotary Club Ljubljana International playing a pivotal role in identifying six candidates for the 2024 edition of our developmental camp. They have also provided extensive financial support and one of their members, Bojana Čuk, will be mentoring at the 2024 developmental camp. The club plans to continue supporting our youngsters even after the camp, serving as a local point of contact and support for all our alumni.

In a recent meeting held on June 6th in Ljubljana, Slovenia, representatives of the Rotary Club Ljubljana International, led by Peter Ilgo and Peter Skuber, met with Robert Mac West, a representative of the Rotary Club of Denver. Robert, a veteran member of the Denver club, which is the 31st Rotary Club in the world established in 1911, expressed keen interest in the SR program and its future plans. Impressed by the work of the SR program, Robert is considering proposing a more structured partnership with his own club, which could open up even more opportunities for our youngsters as part of our Alumni Engager initiative.

Matej Keka, the founder of the SR program, believes that this collaboration between the SR program and the Rotary Club is exemplary and has the potential to exponentially increase the overall impact of the program on youngsters from homes without proper parental care. The SR program is confident that more collaborations like this will follow in the near future, further enhancing the support and opportunities for our youngsters.
