Our 3 phase approach & methodology
Our Program guides camp participants through a comprehensive journey of self-discovery, skill development, project implementation, and ongoing support. Each level is meticulously designed to empower young individuals, ensuring they emerge from the program with a strong sense of purpose, a diverse skill set, and the confidence to make a positive impact in their communities and beyond.
PHASE 1
An 8-day international residential programme where young people (16–21) build skills, plan their future, and form strong peer and mentor relationships in a focused, nature-based environment
The camp creates strong peer and mentor relationships and hosts up to 24 participants per edition.

PHASE 2Mentoring
Speechless Reconciliation's mentoring model is built on rigorous selection and safeguarding.
The core group of 7–8 mentors per camp are chosen through personal networks and peer recommendation — trusted people with a genuine reason to be there. All mentors undergo criminal background checks, child protection training delivered jointly with SOS Children's Villages, and a formal introduction to participants before camp begins.
Mentors receive briefing on the background and profile of participants:
Mentor’s profiles and contact details are provided to participants in the Handbook.
Pre CampMentors are active participants during the camp and are introduced during the first day. All activities are guided by them and create connections between mentors & participants.
1-2-1 sessions are available in the Camp premises to provide for more personalised discussion of participants’ aspirations.
During the CampParticipants continue to have access to the Mentors or peers from the SR community, as they articulate their goals and take action towards education, employment or a personal initiative.
After the CampEvery year, reunions bring back mentors and participants from previous camps for continued connection and development.
ReunionsMentors and alumni maintain connected through structured online programming: themed clubs covering English language skills, healthy living, and entrepreneurship; group sessions via WhatsApp; and individual online meetings with mentors.
Alumni Online Community
PHASE 3Ventures Support
An accelerator model for selected alumni with a specific project or initiative. A small team of mentors, experts, and community members works alongside one young person toward a concrete goal — providing professional mentoring, consultancy, and practical support.
Ventures are crafted to transform the innovative ideas of SR Alumni into tangible projects, startups, and small to medium-sized enterprises (SMEs). This initiative is designed to harness and cultivate the entrepreneurial spirit of disadvantaged youth, ultimately serving as one of the end goals of our comprehensive developmental program.
